Features St.George Portfolio Home Equity Loan
The Portfolio Home Equity Loan allows you to combine all your personal and investment finances into one account. Borrow up to $1,500,000 of the value of your property to increase your assets with a variety of investments. The main features of the Portfolio Home Equity Loan are:
- Use up to 10 separate sub-accounts for your investment or lifestyle needs. The Portfolio Home Equity Loan allows you to create up to 10 different sub accounts. The ownership for each sub-account can be different to help you make managing tax and finances easier. Each separate sub-account will receive monthly statements to make managing your investments easier;
- Choose the frequency of repayments. The repayments of your St.George Portfolio Home Equity Loan can be made either weekly, fortnightly or monthly. This flexible feature allows you to repay your loan in a way which suits you. Alternatively, you can also deposit all your income directly into your Portfolio Loan, so every dollar you earn will work to save you interest and can help you repay your home loan sooner;
- You can increase the value of the loan. At times when you need more money you may wish to increase the loan amount. If the bank approves your request you can increase the value of the loan;
- The all in one advantage package. If you would like more features you can apply for the all in one advantage package. The advantage package offers a value package which includes interest rate and fee savings, on your home loan, credit card and transaction accounts. The discount and fee savings are: up to 0.70% p.a. off the St.George Portfolio Home Equity Loan; up to 0.15% p.a. off the Standard and Portfolio Loan Fixed rates; $0 loan establishment, increase and switch fees and save up to $700; $0 monthly loan administration fee – save up to $14 per month; $0 annual credit card fee; $0 monthly transaction account keeping fee; and $0 monthly service fee with 100% interest offset facility;
- You can lock your interest rate. If you prefer the security of knowing what your payments will be you can request to fix the interest rate.This feature allows you to secure an advertised fixed rate up to 3 months before your settlement date. By locking the interest rate you are protecting yourself from interest rate rises;
- Deposit protect bond. If you would like to earn interest on our deposit money while you’re paying off you loan you can pay a deposit protect bond. The deposit protect bond is a substitute for a cash deposit for your property. It guarantees that St.George will pay the deposit if you don’t pay by the settlement of the loan.
