twitter.com/nab NAB Keeps in Touch on Twitter

NAB has recently been in the news for its “break up” with the major three banks in Australia. The company caused quite a stir when it launched a huge break up marketing campaign. All kinds of stunts were included and it has taken Australia by storm. This is particularly true in the world of Twitter.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a social networking website with a difference. It focuses mainly upon what are known as “Tweets”. These are short and they tell the world what a person is doing. For example, a person might tweet “Just got home after a long day at work”. Not particularly exciting but it acts as a kind of diary.

Many people use the site to catch up with their favourite celebrities. However, there is also an advantage for businesses who would like to keep customers up to date with their services. A business tweet could answer customer questions and make announcements about what the company is up to.

You can follow NAB on twitter and it can be a particularly good idea if you are an NAB customer.

What to Expect from NAB Tweets

If you follow NAB on Twitter, you will get to ask your own personal questions. It is different to visiting http://www.nab.com.au because it feels more personal. You get a reply from an actual person and you get to keep up to date with the latest news.

The latest Tweet on the site (as of 18th February 2011), states:

“We do have a number of branches open on weekends. Please see http://nab.co/bUn3hz for more specifics. Have a good one!”

While you can send messages to the staff, it is advised that you do not give out any of your account or financial information on Twitter. A lot of people use the site to air their concerns about their accounts. For example, one consumer recently received a statement for somebody who wasn’t him.

After tweeting about it, NAB asked if they could message him to rectify the matter. If you read through the Tweets on the NAB page, you will see that the company is keen to answer all consumer queries. They are polite, helpful and pay attention to their tweets.

If you are a NAB customer then you can use Twitter to get a message to the company quickly. Perhaps you are having trouble accessing your account?

Or maybe there is something that you are confused about? Maybe you would just like to leave feedback? Whatever you need you can ask the team through the Twitter page.

About the Company

If you are still unsure as to whom NAB actually are then you can find out everything that you need to know at http://www.nab.com.au. NAB is short for National Australia Bank. The company has more than 1,800 branches and it aims to deliver satisfactory and sustainable returns to its shareholders.

It has scrapped a lot of its fees over the past couple of years. In fact, the changes started in 2009 and have led up to the climax that occurred this month.

The recent break up caused by the company is currently all that consumers seem to be talking about in Australia. It has been on the news stations and it has drawn a lot of attention. The bank currently offers the lowest home loan rates available.

Overall if you would like to apply to NAB then you can do so via http://www.nab.com.au. Remember that if you do follow the company on Twitter, you should not give out any personal information. This includes account information. You can send a private message to the company if needed or just use their website.
